Black Cherry and Hibiscus Old Fashioned

An updated version of a great “old” standby. Made with sweet, dark cherries, dried hibiscus flowers, piping-hot barley tea, orange bitters and non-alcoholic whiskey.

Preparation Instructions:
- Step 1
- In tea kettle, add barley tea bags and hibiscus flowers and pour in boiling water. Let steep for 15-20 minutes. In glass pitcher or container, strain tea bags and hibiscus flowers, discard them and refrigerate liquid.
- Step 2
- For each serving; in an old-fashioned glass muddle 1 oz. cherries, 1 sugar cube and 2 dashes of orange bitters. Add large ice cube, 6 fl. oz. tea and 2 fl. oz. whiskey or bourbon. Rub tangerine zest around glass, twist and add to cocktail.
